Africa is second to Asia in both size and population. The continent occupies 20.4% of the land. Several island groups and fifty three countries are present in the African continent. The continent extends from the northern temperate zone to the southern temperate zone. The land is surrounded by the Mediterranean sea in the north, Suez canal and Red sea in the north east, Indian ocean in the south east and Atlantic ocean in the western region. Africa is considered to be place where human beings originated as many of the early evidences are found there. Diversities of wild life can be found in the area.
