| Christianity is the religion centered on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. Christians consider Jesus as the son of God who is the Savior. In Hebrew bible, many prophets proclaimed about the arrival of the Messiah to save the humanity. Orthodox Christian theology claims that Jesus, the Messiah died and resurrected to lead the people to heaven. They believe that Jesus will come back on the day of final judgment and grant immortality to his followers. Unlike many other religions, Christianity grew very rapidly with numerous followers worldwide. The world’s largest religion played a major role in molding the western civilization. |
