Waste management is the whole processes involved in the disposal of waste materials. This includes the collection of waste materials according to the type, their transportation, the further disposal or their recycling. Efficient waste management systems significantly reduce the ill effects of environmental pollution. The methods employed for waste management differ from places to places and is obviously dependent on the type or nature of the waste material. Landfill is the common practice of burying the waste materials under soil. Combustion of waste is termed as incineration. Some of the waste materials are recycled, biological wastes are reprocessed and some are used for the production of energy. Waste reduction is the production of minimal amount of waste.
