The country Germany, in the European Union, is technologically advanced and has many inventions to its credit. The country is a developed nation and offers a comfortable life style for its citizens. After the Second World War which saw the defeat of Germany and consequent invasion by foreign powers, the country was divided into two parts. However, in 1990, the nation united with Berlin as the capital city. Germany has a continental climate and has a variety of plant and animal life. Germany has emerged as a powerful nation with a strong voice in the European Union, and maintains cordial relations with most of the countries.
