Japan, the land of rising sun, is situated in the Pacific Ocean. The country is a cluster of thousands of islands. The capital of Japan, Tokyo, is one of the largest cities in the world. Japan follows the constitutional monarchy with the emperor as the head of the country and a parliament for administration. One of the major economic powers, Japan has many reasons to be proud of. The crime rate of the country is very low, and the longevity of the people is very high due to the healthy food habits. Even though the bombing of the Second World War resulted in the destruction of two cities, the country has recovered rapidly to be ranked as the third economic power.
