Tobacco has been used all over the world in many forms like smoking, chewing, snuffing, dipping tobacco etc. Nicotine, the chemical present in tobacco has addictive properties. The person who keeps on using tobacco is unable to stop it due to his dependence on the substance. Many of the habits start due to pressure from the peer groups or just out of curiosity. The body will start craving for the substance when it lacks it. The addict feels nervous when he is not in possession of it. Smokers will become chain smokers due to increased dependence. The sad thing about this is that tobacco is one of the leading causes of cancer in the present world. Its use in the developed countries is decreasing gradually, but in developing countries, it has been on the rise.
