Encryption is a security measure by which the data is transformed to another unreadable format to prevent its unauthorized access by others. The data has to be decrypted to make it to a readable format. Encryption was used earlier by the governments to maintain confidentiality in communication. To keep security, encryption is used nowadays in computers, networks, mobile phones, bluetooth devices and ATM machines. Encryption is done using the cryptographic software. It is also used to secure the emails and other software. Security measures have to be taken while accessing internet, when using a system with many users and also while the transferring data to external memory devices.
