Mobile computing is the use of computer technology in a moving environment. Of course, portable devices are there like laptops, palmtops and notebook PCs. The gadgets will come under the definition of mobile compuing when is used in a wireless enabled network rather than in a stationary port. They use wireless technologies like Wi-Fi,WiMax,LAN or GPRS.Wearable computer,enterprise digital assistant,smartphone,carputer, all are recently introduced mobile computers. Started in the vehicles, now mobile computing is used even in cell phones and metropolitan area network. The user can access the network from anywhere with the prevalence of mobile computing. In that way, it is a boon to the people. Transmission interferences and health hazards are the major disadvantages of mobile computing.
