Casting is used to produce materials having specific or complex geometrical shapes. Liquid material is poured in to the moulds which will confer the exact size and shape for the castings. Moulding enables to create the shapes in a convenient stuff for the casting material to be poured. The shape is made in to a pattern to be immersed in the moulding material. Mould cavity is formed when the pattern is removed from the mould material. Metal castings are then poured in to those cavities. Once the liquid is solidified, the cast will be taken out of the mould cavity. Casting process is affected by many factors like the progression of solidification. Turning, drilling and milling are the chief machining processes which are done to achieve the desired geometry.
